Job Summary

This role involves ensuring the continuous operation and security of complex IT systems within the State Statistical Office of Baden-Württemberg. The specialist will be responsible for fundamental functions of the IT infrastructure, including planning, deployment, and further development of the office's IT procedures. Day-to-day tasks include installing, administering, and monitoring servers and virtualization systems, planning hardware deployment, and providing crucial last-level support for the IT hotline. A core component of the position is coordinating diverse workflows within system technology and leading a small team of administrators and network specialists. Candidates must possess a Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant technical field and extensive practical experience in Windows Server administration, virtualization, and IT security.
