Job Summary
This role involves acting as a Specialist in Operational Information Security, focusing on safeguarding IT infrastructure and applications for the Baden-Württemberg Police. Day-to-day duties include developing and supporting robust security concepts for specialized police applications and IT services, conducting comprehensive risk and security analyses, and performing security assessments of new hardware, software, and network components. A critical component of the role is advising internal departments on information security best practices, particularly utilizing the BSI IT-Grundschutz methodology. Candidates must hold a university degree in IT, Cyber Security, or a related field, or possess equivalent professional experience gained through several years of IT-specific activity. Experience with recognized security standards like BSI IT-Grundschutz and ISO/IEC 27001 is highly desirable, as is an interest in advanced areas like Penetration Testing and Digital Forensics. The position is a full-time, permanent role based in Stuttgart.
Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree (FH, DHBW, or BA) in Information Technology, (Business) Informatics, Cyber Security, IT Security, or IT Forensics.
Experience
- Equivalent skills and experience gained through several years of IT-specific activity.
- Professional experience in Information Security, including BSI IT-Grundschutz Standards and ISO/IEC 27001 (Desired).
- Experience participating in large-scale, state-wide IT projects.
- Professional experience advising technical departments on security matters.
