Job Summary

This role offers the opportunity to join a world market leader in optical precision measurements, specializing in systems based on Nobel Prize-winning frequency comb technology. The Development Engineer will be integral to the conception and realization of highly stable, customized laser systems, including planning, assembly, integration, testing, and comprehensive documentation. A core focus of the position is the integration and stabilization of various continuous-wave laser technologies, often used in cutting-edge applications such as quantum technology, metrology, and optical clocks. Responsibilities also include managing project timelines, coordinating resources, and engaging in direct communication with international customers and external partners. The ideal candidate must possess a degree in Physics or Electrical Engineering and demonstrated expertise in laser stabilization techniques and photonics, coupled with a structured, precise, and customer-oriented approach to work.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field (PhD welcome)

Experience

  • Professional experience in the conception and realization of customer-specific laser systems
  • Professional experience in the integration and stabilization of continuous-wave laser technologies
  • Experience with commissioning and maintenance of laser systems at customer and partner sites
