Job Summary
The Max Planck Institute for the Structure and Dynamics of Matter (MPSD) is seeking a Postdoctoral or Doctoral Researcher to join the ERC Synergy project "Unravelling the Mysteries of Vibrational Strong Coupling" (UnMySt). This role focuses on theoretical and computational research in polaritonic chemistry, investigating how quantum electrodynamics can control chemical and physical processes at the molecular level. The successful candidate will contribute to developing state-of-the-art theoretical and computational methods to model strong light-matter coupling, with a focus on vibrational strong coupling (VSC) in various systems. Responsibilities include investigating thermodynamic and non-equilibrium effects, developing simulation tools, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to interpret experimental measurements and publish research. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a cutting-edge field with significant potential for industrial applications.
