Job Summary
This role involves providing essential technical service and software integration for defence systems directly at customer sites across Germany. The Service Technician will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults, coordinating service activities, and ensuring the successful integration of software into customer devices. A key aspect of the job is managing quality, costs, and deadlines for service activities, while also handling detailed documentation and error reporting. The position requires coordinating interfaces with national and international partners involved in retrofit locations, supporting the development team during the design phase, and assisting with technical-logistical support concepts. Ideal candidates possess a technical background in electrical engineering or IT, experience with hardware/software integration, and proficiency in English, making this a critical role in maintaining operational readiness for military clients.
Required Skills
Education
Completed technical training in Electrical Engineering or IT, preferably with additional qualifications
Experience
- Professional experience in fault diagnosis and resolution (electrical/mechanical)
- Experience in conducting service work on customer systems
- Experience in handling hazardous materials and protective equipment
- Experience in software and hardware integration
- Experience in interface coordination with national and international companies
Languages
Additional
- Valid driver's license Class B (preferably also BE and C1E); Willingness to travel to customer locations across Germany; Knowledge of military technical products is advantageous
