Job Summary
This role requires a dedicated Component Engineer to drive the full lifecycle development of hardware and firmware, specializing in low-power sensor technology and wireless transmission systems. Daily responsibilities include the conception and design of analog and digital circuits (schematic and layout), alongside implementing embedded logic using Embedded C, primarily targeting ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers. You will be crucial in system integration, prototyping, and rigorous fault diagnosis across the entire system. A core focus is ensuring quality and compliance, involving simulations and adherence to standards like EMC and the Radio Equipment Directive (RED), with optional knowledge of ATEX. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in electronics and embedded software, is proficient with EDA tools (Altium Designer/KiCad), and is comfortable working within an agile framework, contributing actively to documentation and sprint planning. Fluency in both German and English is mandatory for this position.
Required Skills
Education
Degree (HTL, FH, University) in Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Technical Informatics, or comparable qualifications.
Experience
- Professional experience in electronics and embedded software development
- Experience in hardware design focusing on low-power sensor technology and radio transmission
- Experience with system integration, prototyping, and fault diagnosis
- Experience ensuring compliance with EMC and radio standards (RED, optional ATEX)
