Job Summary

The Deutsche Bahn seeks a dedicated District Manager for Telecommunications Systems to oversee critical infrastructure in the Essen district (Duisburg, Essen, Mülheim an der Ruhr, Oberhausen). This role is pivotal in ensuring the safe, punctual, and economic operation of rail transport by managing the functionality and security of assigned telecommunications assets. Day-to-day tasks involve leading a district team, managing budgets, conducting system inspections, documenting results, and commissioning/supervising construction measures. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical Engineering or Communications Technology, or a relevant Master Craftsman certification, and possesses strong knowledge of telecommunications technology. Experience in operational maintenance and leadership is highly desirable, alongside a willingness to complete the required District Manager qualification training.
