This role involves ensuring the quality of Munich's water systems by managing the approval process for the construction and renovation of private property drainage systems, covering both domestic and commercial properties. The engineer will be responsible for advising builders and planners, rigorously reviewing drainage plans, including separator systems and rainwater infiltration, to ensure compliance with technical standards and municipal regulations. A key part of the job involves contributing to the quality of life in Munich and the water quality of the Isar River through meticulous technical review and support. Additionally, the role includes managing the service hotline for the entire property drainage sub-department, requiring strong communication and technical expertise in civil or environmental engineering disciplines related to wastewater technology.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Protection/Technology, Supply Technology, or Waste/Disposal Technology with a focus on Wastewater Technology, or a comparable engineering discipline
Experience
- Professional experience in the execution of construction projects, preferably in civil engineering or pipeline construction
- Knowledge of the Munich sewage network (advantageous)
- Knowledge of common construction and renovation procedures for sewers and property drainage systems (advantageous)
- Knowledge of relevant technical and legal regulations (advantageous)
