Job Summary
The City of Drolshagen is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer specializing in underground construction (Tiefbau) to join their Planning, Building, and Housing department. This full-time, permanent position involves comprehensive responsibility for the administration, maintenance, and repair of all municipal roads, paths, squares, sewage systems, and bridge/culvert structures. Key responsibilities include needs assessment, strategic planning, budgeting, and managing external planning contracts. The successful candidate will act as the client representative (Bauherr), overseeing project steering, construction management, and maintaining cost and budget accountability for numerous upcoming investment and renovation projects in infrastructure. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, deep knowledge of public procurement and construction regulations (VOB/VgV, HOAI), and offers a challenging, varied, and highly autonomous role within a public administration setting, complete with flexible working hours and opportunities for professional development.

University or Technical College Degree in Civil Engineering
Experience
- Completed university or technical college degree in Civil Engineering
- Experience in executing construction measures, preferably focused on road and canal construction
- Professional knowledge of VOB/VgV, HOAI, and relevant legal regulations
- Desirable: Several years of professional experience in project steering and construction management, preferably in public administration or a planning office
