System Engineer for Optronics & Mechatronics | Systemingenieur (m/w/d) für Optronik & Mechatronik

Job Summary

This role seeks an ambitious System Engineer to drive the development of complex optronic and mechatronic products. You will be responsible for defining the system architecture, managing the overall system across different locations, and leading mechanical, electromechanical, and optical development, including structural analysis and optical design. A core function involves standardizing system specifications and evolving unified engineering processes, leveraging tools like Doors and Enterprise Architect. Day-to-day activities include technical coordination within interdisciplinary teams, managing requirements, reviewing development results, and troubleshooting issues before quality gates. Furthermore, you will plan and oversee qualifying tests, support prototype construction, and guide the successful ramp-up and ongoing support of series production. This position requires a strong background in Systems Engineering, proficiency with the V-Model and agile methodologies, and a degree in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics.
