Job Summary

This role is critical in advancing the energy transition by successfully completing High-Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) transmission projects for international clients. The professional will be responsible for the configuration, testing, and commissioning of field control devices for HVDC substations, performing both hardware and software tests, including customer acceptance, at the German test center and worldwide HVDC facilities. Day-to-day tasks involve independent fault isolation, supporting the software engineering team, and assisting commissioning management with quality, risk, and claim management. Key requirements include a degree or technician qualification in Electrical or Energy Engineering, excellent professional experience in commissioning field control devices (ideally SIPROTEC5/DIGSI 5), and strong knowledge of high-voltage and substation technology. The position offers varied activities in exciting international large-scale projects and requires significant willingness to travel for long-term domestic and international site assignments, including potential offshore work.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering / Energy Technology, or Technician qualification (Weiterbildung zum Techniker), or comparable qualification; Certified Electrical Skilled Person (EFK)

Experience
