Job Summary
This role involves specialized software development focusing on modern Vetronics systems for military vehicles, based in Kassel, Germany. The developer will be responsible for implementing future-oriented IT architectures, integrating and networking military subsystems, and developing ergonomic Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI) and operating concepts. A core part of the job is software development for Linux target systems (specifically Debian), requiring strong skills in C, C++, and Python, coupled with experience in Qt/QML and object-oriented design (UML). The ideal candidate holds a degree in Computer Science or a related field and will contribute to the entire software lifecycle, including code implementation, documentation, unit testing, and supporting architecture definition, ensuring continuous maintenance and enhancement of existing software solutions.
Required Skills
Education
Completed degree in Computer Science, Technical Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable qualification
Experience
- Experience in software development with Qt and QML
- Experience in the implementation of DDS (Data Distribution Service)-based applications
- Knowledge in connecting interfaces such as CAN-Bus, RS232/RS422, and IP-Socket-Interfaces is desirable
