Job Summary
This role seeks a skilled Physics Laboratory Technician to manage and execute complex processes within a small cleanroom environment at GeSiM mbH, located east of Dresden. The core focus is on Si-wafer processing for microfluidic applications. Daily tasks involve operating specialized microelectronic equipment, including PE-CVD, RIE, and thermal oxidation systems, alongside managing associated gas supply systems and performing film thickness measurements. A crucial part of the job involves wet chemical processing, such as etching silicon, SiO2, and Si3N4 according to established protocols. Furthermore, the technician will handle advanced assembly techniques like Anodic Bonding and wire bonding, and coordinate technological processes with external partners. The ideal candidate holds a relevant technical qualification and preferably has experience in microelectronic wafer processing. This permanent position is initially part-time (approx. 30 hours/week) with potential for expansion to full-time duties.
Required Skills
Education
Training as a Physics Laboratory Technician or equivalent qualifications.
Experience
- Professional experience in microelectronic wafer processing (highly desired)
- Experience operating and monitoring PE-CVD and RIE systems
- Experience in wet chemical etching processes
