Job Summary
This role involves defining and advancing overall concepts for optical alignment and assembly systems within a growing, family-run technology company specializing in high-quality optics production. The Development Engineer will be responsible for conceptualizing alignment strategies, designing kinematic systems, selecting materials and components, and overseeing the manufacturing and commissioning of new devices. Key day-to-day tasks include performing initial setup, calibration, and testing (including integrated sensors/actuators), conducting ongoing error analysis, implementing Measurement System Analysis (MSA), and creating comprehensive test specifications. The ideal candidate holds a university degree in a relevant engineering field (e.g., Optical Engineering, Mechatronics) and brings a minimum of five years of professional experience, coupled with deep knowledge of precision mechanics in the micro and nanometer range. Success in this position requires strong coordination skills to manage interfaces across development, production, and sales, alongside proficiency in 3D-CAD and FEM analysis.

University degree in Optical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechatronics, Materials Science, or equivalent qualification.
