Job Summary
This role involves joining the Eichstätt District Office's IT team to manage and enhance specialized IT applications and their underlying infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical administration, configuration, and ongoing development of departmental applications, including performing critical updates, migrations, and release changes in collaboration with vendors and internal departments. Key duties include ensuring stable application operations by analyzing and resolving complex issues, monitoring performance parameters, and administering servers, virtualization, and storage systems. A core focus is on managing database servers (MS SQL, Oracle), middleware components, and implementing technical security requirements (DSGVO, BayDiG). The position requires a qualified IT professional with relevant experience, strong technical knowledge in Windows Server environments and databases, and excellent service orientation to provide 2nd-level support to employees.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist (System Integration) or comparable qualification
Experience
- Several years of relevant professional experience in the support and administration of specialized applications
- Experience ideally gained within a governmental/public authority environment
- Professional experience with Windows Server environments
- Experience in IT security requirements and data protection
- Participation in digitalization and infrastructure projects
