Job Summary

This permanent, full-time role based in Kassel involves the complete lifecycle development of electronic hardware for military vehicles and specialized test facilities. The Development Engineer will be responsible for the design and construction of electronic circuit boards (PCBs) and assemblies, defining rigorous testing and verification protocols, and supporting commissioning activities. A core function is transitioning developed subsystems into series production, managing ongoing product support, including technical documentation (schematics, BOMs), and handling obsolescence management. Candidates must possess a degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science and demonstrated experience in hardware development, particularly with advanced Microprocessor/SoC platforms (e.g., STM32, Zynq UltraScale) and strong foundational knowledge in digital, analog, and FPGA technologies. The position requires a structured, independent working style and good proficiency in both German and English, offering a chance to work on challenging, high-security projects within the German SME sector.
