Job Summary

This is a key entry-level role for an Electrical Engineering graduate to qualify over approximately 30 months as a Rail Construction Supervisor (Bauüberwacher:in Bahn) for DB Engineering & Consulting. Based primarily in and around Erfurt, you will manage, coordinate, and supervise contractors and stakeholders on critical railway infrastructure projects, focusing specifically on electrical, control, and safety technology (LST). Day-to-day tasks involve rigorous monitoring of costs, schedules, quality, and, crucially, adherence to safety regulations, especially when working 'under the rolling wheel.' The role requires strong communication skills and resilience, as you will be responsible for contract reviews, invoice approvals, and developing measures to prevent scope creep. Be prepared for non-standard working hours, including nights and weekends, which are compensated with time off and allowances, contributing directly to the realization of Germany's essential rail network infrastructure.
