Job Summary
This role seeks a Senior IT Specialist Data Center to join the Information Technology team in Cologne, focusing on the administration and continuous development of core platform infrastructure for a major logistics holding company. Day-to-day responsibilities include the management and optimization of virtualization solutions using VMware (ESXi and vSphere), overseeing Citrix environments for critical application delivery, and performing comprehensive Windows Server administration. A crucial aspect of the role is managing and optimizing high-performance storage systems, specifically Netapp and Pure. The specialist will also actively participate in IT planning projects aimed at platform optimization and provide expert 3rd-Level support for complex system outages. Success requires 7-10 years of relevant professional experience and strong technical expertise in these areas, offering a dynamic environment where expertise can be expanded within a future-oriented company.

Completed IT training (e.g., IT Specialist) or comparable qualification
Experience
- 7-10 years in the data center environment
- In-depth knowledge of VMware (ESXi and vSphere) administration
- Experience managing Citrix environments
- Experience with Windows Server management
- Experience with storage systems (preferably Netapp and Pure)
