Job Summary

Join the State Agency for Geoinformation and Surveying (LGV) in Hamburg as a Web Developer, playing a key role in shaping the digital future of the city by developing, maintaining, and operating urban geo-web applications, such as the Geoportal Hamburg. This position involves conceptualizing, developing, and operating applications based on vue.js, ensuring high code quality through rigorous reviews and automated testing, and driving the sustainable evolution of the open-source 'Masterportal' software. You will also be responsible for technical documentation and providing support to city authorities and public portals. The ideal candidate has a degree in Computer Science or a related field, strong frontend development experience, and C1 level German language skills, offering an opportunity to contribute to a leading open-source project and enhance the quality of life in Hamburg.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor or equivalent) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Geoinformatics, Geomatics, Geodesy, or a related field, or equivalent skills and experience

Experience

  • Extensive experience in frontend web development (advantageous)
  • Experience in developing and maintaining automated tests (advantageous)
  • Know-how in using JavaScript frameworks (preferably vue.js) and Geo-software libraries (advantageous)
  • Good knowledge of the JavaScript runtime environment Node.js and version control systems like Git (advantageous)
