Job Summary

This role is ideal for a dedicated Data Center Technician responsible for the physical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of critical data center infrastructure in Walldorf. Day-to-day tasks include the assembly and disassembly of racks, as well as the installation and removal of server, storage, and network hardware. A key component of the role involves meticulous cabling of power and network connections (both copper and fiber optic) according to documentation, alongside performing physical and optical troubleshooting on servers, cabling, and general infrastructure. The technician will manage tickets according to defined processes and SLAs, ensuring all activities are documented promptly and precisely in English. Candidates must have a completed vocational training in IT System Integration or equivalent, strong knowledge of IT hardware, and experience with power and network cabling. The position requires willingness to work in a 3-shift system, including optional weekend and on-call duties, offering excellent opportunities for both career starters and experienced professionals.
