Job Summary
The City of Korschenbroich is seeking a full-time, permanent IT System Administrator to join the Information Technology and Digitalization department. This role is central to maintaining and evolving the city's IT infrastructure, focusing heavily on Microsoft Server administration, including Windows Server, Hyper-V virtualization, Exchange, and SQL Server. Day-to-day responsibilities involve managing approximately 280 client computers using client management software, administering Active Directory, and maintaining network components (L3/L2 switches, WLAN). The administrator will also handle municipal specialized applications, provide user support via a ticketing system (TANSS), and contribute to the development and implementation of new technology concepts. The ideal candidate must have a completed 3-year IT-focused education, such as System Integration Specialist, and possess a Class B driving license. Experience with IT security, AD hardening, MFA, and Veeam data backup is highly desirable, offering a dynamic and essential role within the public sector.

Completed 3-year IT-focused vocational training (e.g., IT Specialist for System Integration or comparable qualification)
Experience
- Professional experience as an IT System Administrator with Microsoft technologies and products (desirable)
- Experience with current Windows Server and Client operating systems (very good knowledge desirable)
- Experience with Hyper-V virtualization technology (good knowledge desirable)
- Experience with configuring network switches
- Experience in configuring mobile devices
