Job Summary

This role is ideal for an experienced professional passionate about technological progress in railway infrastructure. As a Planning Engineer specializing in Overhead Catenary Systems, you will be responsible for the technical planning and project processing of complex new construction, modification, and maintenance projects within railway electrification. Day-to-day tasks include defining route plans, mast locations, cross-sections, and span fields, while ensuring compliance with HOAI performance phases (LPH 1-7). A critical component of the role involves performing technical calculations, such as determining span lengths and static verification, as well as preparing comprehensive tender documents and cost estimates. Success requires proactive coordination with project participants, authorities, and clients like DB InfraGO, and supporting necessary approval processes. Candidates must possess a degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Transportation Engineering, coupled with proven professional experience in planning overhead catenary systems and proficiency in specialized planning software like AutoCAD, ProSig, or RAIL BEV.
