Job Summary
This role requires an IT Helpdesk Specialist to join the Service IT department at Landshut University of Applied Sciences. The core responsibility is delivering essential First-Level Support to university staff and students, ensuring the smooth operation of administrative and academic IT infrastructure. Daily tasks involve the installation, maintenance, and support of IT workstations, including laptops, PCs, printers, and telephony systems. Furthermore, the specialist will manage IT inventory, control incoming and outgoing goods, handle warranty processing for IT devices, and actively participate in the continuous improvement of IT support processes and related projects. Key requirements include successfully completed training as an IT Specialist for System Integration, comprehensive expertise in current Microsoft operating systems and Office products, and basic knowledge of Linux and network technology. This position offers a varied and challenging role in a modern, family-friendly university setting with flexible working hours and public sector compensation (TV-L).
