Job Summary

This role involves critical technical and commercial estimation for building automation projects within a large, family-run electrical services company. The Estimator will be responsible for reviewing project inquiries, determining project suitability, and accurately calculating both the technical scope and realistic commercial costs of building automation contracts. Day-to-day tasks include soliciting price quotes from suppliers, coordinating with procurement, preparing formal proposals, and actively tracking these offers. The ideal candidate possesses a technical background, likely in electrical engineering, supply engineering, or measurement and control technology, coupled with proven experience in project planning and calculation for building automation systems. Success in this role requires strong analytical thinking, structured work habits, and close collaboration with Project Managers to continuously optimize calculations and leverage past experience, ensuring the delivery of optimal solutions for clients.
