Job Summary

This is a key leadership role managing Department 2 (Finance and Assets) for the City of Pohlheim, encompassing Finances, Assets, Taxes, Holdings, Controlling, Real Estate, and the Central Cash Office. The Head of Department will lead a team of eleven employees while also performing significant hands-on administrative tasks. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and executing the budget and supplementary budget, managing asset, liquidity, claims, and debt, and handling fundamental financial and business management issues. The ideal candidate possesses comprehensive expertise in municipal budgeting, treasury, and accounting, along with basic knowledge of balance sheet and tax law. This position requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and accurately, often attending meetings outside regular office hours.
