Job Summary

This role is for an Engineer specializing in the strategic and structural development of power distribution networks within the Asset Management department in Würzburg. The successful candidate will be instrumental in actively shaping the energy transition by ensuring secure, stable, and high-performance supply grids. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating concepts for the structural evolution and strategic alignment of electricity distribution networks, developing cross-disciplinary strategic plans for technically and economically optimized overall systems, and reviewing complex grid connection requests. Key requirements include a degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a focus on Electrical Power Engineering, and solid expertise in the planning and operation of power distribution networks. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate on special and research projects with internal and external specialists, manage budget planning for grid expansions, and advance network calculation and forecasting systems, contributing directly to the future reliability of regional energy supply.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree in Electrical Engineering, ideally with a focus on Electrical Power Engineering, or comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Foundational knowledge in the planning and operation of power distribution networks
  • Professional experience utilizing network calculation and asset information systems
  • Experience with relevant regulations, laws, and ordinances for power distribution networks (ideal)
