Job Summary

This PhD position, part of the International Graduate School (IRTG) 2804, focuses on investigating the genetic and epigenetic foundations of psychiatric disorders, specifically focusing on stress responses during hormonal transition phases in women (puberty and menopause). The successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting and phenotypically assessing pre-/post-pubertal girls and pre-/postmenopausal women, conducting standardized stress paradigms (including fMRI), and performing laboratory work in molecular biology and epigenetics. Key requirements include a completed university degree in Medicine, Biology, or a related field, solid knowledge in molecular biology and epigenetics, and experience with human subject research. The role offers the unique opportunity for an international research stay in Uppsala, Sweden, for comparative data analysis, and is situated within a modern, internationally connected, and highly translational research environment at the University of Tübingen.
