Job Summary

This full-time Medical Physicist role involves supporting the Department of Medical Physics and Radiation Protection, which serves the Clinics for Radiation Therapy, Radio-oncology, and Nuclear Medicine. The core responsibilities include hands-on radiation planning utilizing advanced techniques such as 3D-Conformal, IMRT, and VMAT, along with the physical and technical supervision of linear accelerators. The successful candidate will also be responsible for introducing new technologies and procedures and acting as a Radiation Protection Officer. Key qualifications include a degree in Physics or related engineering sciences, expertise as a Medical Physics Expert (MPE) with specialized knowledge in radiation protection (teletherapy), and proven clinical experience in radiation therapy medical physics. This position offers an opportunity to work in a major confessional hospital and academic teaching facility in Lower Saxony, actively contributing to certified oncological centers.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Physics or corresponding Engineering Sciences; Certified Medical Physics Expert (MPE) with specialized knowledge in Radiation Protection (Teletherapy); Ideally, additional specialized knowledge in Nuclear Medicine (can be acquired)
