Job Summary

This role is for an experienced System IT Specialist specializing in backup strategies and IT infrastructure administration for a leading IT service provider based in Vienna. The core responsibilities involve providing professional technical consulting to clients, planning, implementing, and rigorously monitoring complex backup strategies and solutions, particularly leveraging expertise in Veritas NetBackup and Red Hat. You will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing existing backup concepts, documenting implementation projects, and troubleshooting critical system disruptions. This position offers a hybrid work model (2-3 days remote per week) and a permanent contract. Key requirements include an IT-focused education or equivalent professional background, several years of experience in the backup and infrastructure sector, and mandatory hands-on experience of at least five years with Veritas NetBackup or CommVault. Candidates must be fluent in both German (C Level) and English, and possess the ability to analyze and solve complex technical problems independently.
