Job Summary
The New Museum, State Museum for Art and Design Nuremberg, is seeking a Head of Administration to manage all administrative, financial, and personnel functions. This full-time, permanent role involves overseeing the entire administration department, including HR, budgeting, controlling, and procurement/contract management. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic planning, financial steering, and process optimization, particularly concerning digital record keeping, accounting, and project management. Key requirements include a degree in Public Administration or an equivalent qualification (e.g., Bachelor of Laws), proven leadership experience, and deep knowledge of public sector budgeting, personnel, and procurement law. This role offers a diverse and responsible position within the public service sector, supporting the museum's direction in legal and organizational matters while ensuring efficient administrative operations.
Required Skills
Education
Completed degree as a Diploma Administrator (FH) with a focus on non-technical administrative services, or a Certified Administrative Specialist (ALII/BLII), or a comparable qualification equivalent to the 3rd qualification level (e.g., Bachelor of Laws)
Experience
- Leadership and management experience required
- Professional experience in personnel administration (desirable)
- Experience in state budget, procurement, and tax law (desirable)
- Experience in contract management and property administration (desirable)
- Experience with third-party funded projects (controlling, verification of use)
