Job Summary

This System Engineer role is based in a highly modern grid control center, taking overall operational system responsibility for the high- and medium-voltage networks in Eastern Saxony. Key daily activities include active network monitoring, control, and regulation, ensuring reliable supply, and managing voltage, reactive power, and earth fault compensation. The engineer is crucial for maintaining operational network and system security, including load and generation management, and is responsible for creating and implementing switching plans. During system disturbances, the engineer leads and coordinates all necessary measures. This position requires a Master's degree in Electrical or Energy Engineering and strong communication skills. Candidates must be prepared to transition into a full-continuous shift system after the first year of day shifts, contributing to the energy transition within Eastern Germany's largest municipal utility.

Required Skills

Education

Completed Diploma or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, or a comparable field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the operation and fault management of power supply systems
  • Experience in coordinating complex measures during system disturbances
  • Responsibility for overall operational system leadership
