Job Summary

This Senior Software Developer role focuses on the design, implementation, and integration of complex embedded software components for advanced radar systems within the ALTEN Consulting Services team. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing software requirements in coordination with hardware and systems engineers, developing robust software architectures, and implementing reliable, real-time components primarily using C and C++. You will be instrumental in creating and executing automated component tests, integrating these into the overall build process, and supporting system integration throughout the entire development lifecycle, from initial prototype to final product. The ideal candidate possesses a technical degree, extensive professional experience in system-level embedded development, and practical knowledge of real-time operating systems like VxWorks and Linux. This position requires strong collaboration skills, a proactive approach to optimizing CI/CD pipelines and development tools, and mandatory fluency in both German and English, with a required five-day on-site presence in Ulm.
