Job Summary

This Senior/Expert role invites a highly skilled engineer to shape the future of cloud-native infrastructure within SAP, focusing on the open-source Gardener project which manages Kubernetes clusters globally. The core mission involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and reliable networking solutions for thousands of managed Kubernetes clusters across various cloud providers. Day-to-day responsibilities include leveraging deep networking knowledge to troubleshoot complex container networking challenges, enabling high-performance east-west networking for AI/ML workloads, and building extensions for Gardener that integrate capabilities like Service and Cluster Meshes. The ideal candidate brings 5-8 years of professional experience, a strong background in computer networking and routing, and proven hands-on software engineering experience using Go.
