Job Summary
This role involves driving the implementation and anchoring of municipal energy controlling and management within the City of Schriesheim. The Energy Manager will be responsible for developing the energy management system, monitoring key performance indicators, and producing annual energy reports to ensure transparency and track progress. Key tasks include checking energy consumption figures, engaging with users of municipal facilities, and organizing training for caretakers and staff on energy topics to optimize operations. Furthermore, the role requires strategic conceptual work, including developing a municipal heating plan and a photovoltaic concept for city properties, alongside managing climate protection projects (e.g., 'climate-neutral municipality'). Success requires a strong technical background in energy economics, project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive, independent working style.
Required Skills
Education
Technical engineering degree in Energy Economics (Diplom-Ingenieur [FH/Univ.], Bachelor, or Master) or comparable qualification
Experience
- Ideally, job-related professional experience
- Experience in handling energy management software is desirable
- Experience with planning and calculation tools is desirable
