Job Summary

This role involves serving as a Scientific Researcher within the Forensic Biology department of the State Criminal Police Office (LKA) in Eberswalde, contributing to criminal investigations across Brandenburg. The primary responsibilities include the examination and processing of forensic reports, specifically focusing on molecular genetic analyses of human trace evidence (DNA). The researcher will be responsible for drafting expert opinions and reports for courts, prosecutors, and the police, as well as establishing and validating new methods for forensic trace analysis. Key requirements include a scientific university degree (Master's or equivalent) in Biology or Biochemistry with a specialization in Molecular Biology, coupled with practical experience in molecular genetic procedures, laboratory automation, and quality management systems.
