Job Summary
This role involves serving as a Geoinformation Specialist within the Odenwald district administration, focusing on the efficient, transparent, and future-oriented utilization of spatial data. Day-to-day tasks include implementing the European INSPIRE Directive, managing Geodata projects from conception to evaluation, and providing technical support for the Geographic Information System (GIS), which utilizes ESRI and VertiGIS technologies. The specialist will also play a key role in the digital transformation of the administration by implementing E-Government and Open Data requirements, including data georeferencing and participation in regional Geodata Infrastructure (GDI) working groups. The ideal candidate is technically proficient, team-oriented, and brings expertise in GIS systems, surveying, and project management, particularly in E-Government and Open Data initiatives.
Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree in Geoinformatics or equivalent, OR completed training as a Technician, Master, Surveying Technician, Geomatician, or Architectural Drafter, OR administrative employee qualification with relevant professional experience.
Experience
- Professional experience in GIS systems, surveying, and geodata analysis
- Comprehensive experience in Project Management
- Successful implementation of E-Government, Open Data, and GIS projects
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in GIS or surveying (if applying with technical/master qualification)
- 3 years of professional experience in comparable administrative tasks (if applying as administrative employee)
