Job Summary

This role involves performing maintenance, repair, and modification work on the electrical and electronic systems of large commercial aircraft at a high-tech facility in Hamburg, which serves as a key competence center for the group. The Avionics Technician will be responsible for strictly adhering to valid regulations, specifically EASA Part-145. Day-to-day tasks include the installation, testing, and commissioning of critical avionics components, such as navigation, communication, and surveillance systems. A core function is troubleshooting and diagnosing complex board electronics using modern test and measurement equipment, followed by meticulous documentation of all work in the relevant maintenance records. This permanent, full-time position requires a completed technical qualification (e.g., Aircraft Mechanic specializing in Avionics, Electronics Technician, or Mechatronics Technician), strong knowledge of aircraft electrics/electronics, experience with schematics, and fluent technical English. Required Skills

Education

Completed apprenticeship as Aircraft Mechanic (Avionics specialization), Electronics Technician for Devices and Systems, Mechatronics Technician, or comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in maintenance, repair, and modification of aircraft electrical and electronic systems
  • Experience in the installation, testing, and commissioning of avionics components
  • Experience with fault finding and diagnosis on complex board electronics systems
  • Experience handling measuring and testing equipment
