Job Summary
This role involves working as an IT Professional/Computer Scientist within the Swabia North Police Department, focusing on the conception, development, and enhancement of specialized software solutions and IT systems. The successful candidate will analyze existing procedures, plan and implement new IT projects, and ensure the stable and secure operation of critical applications. Daily tasks include 2nd/3rd level support, troubleshooting system failures, optimizing analog administrative processes through digitalization, and contributing to change management initiatives. Key requirements include a university degree in Computer Science (Bachelor/Dipl.Ing. FH), strong analytical skills, experience with modern development frameworks like Laravel, and knowledge of databases (MariaDB/MySQL) and version control (Git). This is a full-time, initially fixed-term position in Augsburg, with the potential for transition into a civil servant status.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Computer Science (Bachelor / Dipl.Ing. FH) with at least 6 semesters
Experience
- Professional experience in analyzing and structuring complex technical and professional matters
- Experience with modern development frameworks, especially Laravel (PHP-Framework)
- Experience in developing web applications and interfaces (APIs, REST)
- Experience in handling database systems (e.g., MariaDB, MySQL)
- Basic experience in version control (e.g., Git) and structured development processes
- Desirable: Experience in the support and administration of IT infrastructure (e.g., Active Directory, Windows Server, MDM/Client-Management systems)
- Desirable: Experience with documentation according to governmental standards
