Job Summary

This role involves end-to-end development of advanced laser systems and sources for multifunctional applications, spanning from initial concept creation and feasibility studies through to the production-ready prototype stage. Key responsibilities include designing, testing, and rigorously verifying laser sources and complete systems in a laboratory setting under realistic conditions. The Systems Engineer acts as the crucial technical interface, coordinating complex interdisciplinary efforts across mechanics, optics, electronics, and software, while also managing external development partners through detailed work package descriptions and Statements of Work (SOW). A successful candidate must possess a degree in Physics, Laser Technology, or a related field, coupled with professional experience in high-power optoelectronics development, and deep expertise in laser fundamentals and optical design.
