Job Summary
This Service Engineer role is crucial for ensuring the reliable and smooth operation of the IT systems for one of Europe's largest air rescue organizations. The professional will act as the central point of contact for employees and air crews, providing essential 1st and 2nd-level support for hardware, software, networking, and user rights issues. Key responsibilities include proactive system monitoring, continuous maintenance to minimize downtime, and comprehensive IT asset management, covering the entire lifecycle of hardware. The ideal candidate possesses strong IT administration and system integration knowledge, particularly with the Azure platform, and is skilled in incident, problem, and change management based on ITIL principles. This position requires a proactive, service-oriented team player dedicated to maintaining high-quality IT standards, directly supporting life-saving missions.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist (Fachinformatiker) or similar IT qualification
Experience
- Professional training as an IT Specialist or similar IT qualification
- Multi-year professional experience in IT Support, Service Desk, or application support
- Experience in analyzing and resolving issues at the 2nd and 3rd-level support stage
- Experience in working autonomously and reliably with business-critical applications
