Job Summary

This role is ideal for a skilled Biotechnology Technical Assistant or Biotechnology graduate eager to contribute to the development of stable cell lines for producing biologics and biosimilars. The professional will be responsible for the planning and practical execution of mammalian cell culture work, including transfections, single-cell cloning, and Fed-Batch experiments, primarily using controlled bioreactor systems like Ambr 15 and DASGIP. Day-to-day tasks involve rigorous sample analysis (cell counting, metabolite determination), operating computer-aided laboratory equipment, and maintaining general laboratory organization. The position requires structured, responsible work habits, strong teamwork, and a commitment to continuous process improvement within the Cell Line Development and Upstream Development departments. The role offers challenging and diverse tasks, opportunities to implement personal ideas, and a supportive team environment near Berlin, initially offered as a two-year fixed-term contract with the option for permanent employment.

Completed training as a Technical Assistant (BTA, CTA) or Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology

Experience

  • Completed training as a Technical Assistant (BTA, CTA) or Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology
  • Practical experience in handling mammalian cell cultures
  • Experience in cultivation within controlled bioreactor systems (advantageous)
  • Knowledge in Molecular Biology (e.g., Cloning, ELISA, Western Blot) (advantageous)
