Job Summary

This role is a full-time, permanent position focused on non-destructive materials testing, specifically radiographic testing (RT) of stainless steel pipes. The Materials Testing Technician will be responsible for preparing the testing process, including positioning pipes using an overhead crane, selecting appropriate X-ray parameters according to standards, and independently controlling digital X-ray operations. A core part of the job involves evaluating test results against predefined criteria, documenting findings in test reports, and accurately maintaining data, including material movements, within the SAP system. Key requirements include specialized training in non-destructive testing, mandatory Level 2 certification in Radiographic Testing (RT) according to DIN EN ISO 9712, familiarity with SAP, and willingness to work in a three-shift system. This position offers stable employment within a structured environment, focusing on critical quality assurance processes for specialized materials.

Required Skills

Education

Mandatory: Certification according to DIN EN ISO 9712 for Radiographic Testing (RT) Level 2. Advantageous: Visual Testing (VT) Level 2 certification.

Experience

  • Successfully completed training in non-destructive materials testing (e.g., radiographic testing of welds on longitudinally welded stainless steel pipes)
  • Professional experience in digital logging of technical testing processes
  • Experience using SAP
