Job Summary

This Integration Engineer role, based in Erlangen, focuses on the critical configuration and seamless integration of High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) control systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include configuring the specialized IEC-61850 communication interface, ensuring its correct integration into the overall system, and setting up the required automation system software within laboratory environments. You will be responsible for creating, testing, and debugging configurations, while also meticulously managing interface descriptions and configuration files to maintain structured traceability and version control. A core function involves verifying the flawless operation of these systems in a hardware environment and providing expert technical support to team members on technical issues. The ideal candidate holds a completed university degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Automation Technology, and brings up to three years of practical experience, potentially gained through internships or working student roles. Very good English skills are mandatory for this challenging and permanent position.
