Job Summary

This full-time, permanent position as an IT Specialist involves the comprehensive administration and maintenance of the municipal government's heterogeneous server and network infrastructure. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning, procurement, operation, and conceptual design of all IT components, endpoints, and peripheral devices (telephones, printers, mobile devices). A key focus is on maintaining and advancing the entire IT structure, including hardware and software, and providing essential First-Level Support to employees. The role also involves supporting IT structures in schools, including PaedML Linux solutions, and implementing digitization measures aligned with the Online Access Act (OZG). Candidates must have a completed IT specialist apprenticeship or equivalent qualification, combined with several years of professional experience, strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, and excellent German and English skills.
