Job Summary

This role as a Biological Laboratory Technician focuses heavily on molecular diagnostics within an innovative European laboratory specializing in metabolism, genetics, and clinical standard diagnostics. Day-to-day responsibilities involve critical sample preparation, including Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) Library Prep, and operating high-tech platforms like Biorad CFX96 and Roche LightCycler systems for PCR and qPCR. You will also perform DNA extraction, molecular genetic analyses via Reverse Hybridization, and process clinical and research samples adhering strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). A key component of the job is contributing to R&D efforts, specifically in identifying, establishing, and validating new biomarkers and methods for intestinal diagnostics. The ideal candidate holds a qualification as a Biologielaborant, BTA, or MTA, possesses practical experience in molecular biology, and ideally has exposure to NGS and laboratory automation.
