Job Summary

This role focuses on the critical setup, commissioning, and continuous technical support for the laser beam position control system utilized on the W7-X fusion experiment. Day-to-day responsibilities include finalizing the system build, performing necessary technical adjustments and extensions, and providing comprehensive maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting services. Furthermore, the specialist will act as an operator for laser diagnostics, supporting fellow technicians during active experimental phases. The ideal candidate must hold a qualification such as a state-certified technician degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, demonstrating fundamental expertise in control technology and practical experience in construction.
