Job Summary

The Stiftung Warentest, a leading independent consumer protection organization in Germany, is seeking a Financial Expert to join their Verification Team in Berlin. This role, offered as an indefinite part-time position (approx. 75% or 29.25 hours/week), is crucial for maintaining the objectivity and accuracy of their financial publications. Day-to-day responsibilities include verifying evaluation tables for insurance and investment studies against base data provided by project leaders and testing institutes. The expert will also check data held in online publication databases and review publication tables and texts within the editorial system for correctness. A key component of the role involves advising project leaders using cross-sectional knowledge gained during verification, alongside contributing to the continuous development of the foundation's verification methodology. Candidates must possess a university degree in Economics, strong finance knowledge, and experience with insurance and retirement products, coupled with excellent German language skills (C1).
