Job Summary

This role is ideal for an experienced automation professional ready to lead a small team while maintaining hands-on technical involvement. The Technical Lead will coordinate and mentor a team of PLC programmers and automation technicians, prioritizing tasks and ensuring project goals are met. Key responsibilities include designing control concepts, programming PLCs (specifically using Siemens TIA Portal and SIMATIC S7), adapting HMI visualization systems, and optimizing modern drive systems. A significant part of the job involves on-site commissioning and acceptance testing of drive technology, primarily in Hamburg but also at other locations, requiring occasional travel and night shifts. Candidates must possess a degree in Electrical Engineering or Automation Technology, 5–6 years of relevant professional experience, and strong knowledge of Siemens PLC systems, coupled with excellent German and good English skills.
