Job Summary

This role is for an Automation Engineer based in Marl, Germany, joining SARPI Deutschland GmbH, a leader in hazardous waste management and recycling within the VEOLIA group. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of industrial control systems, including advanced platforms like PCS 7 (V9), WINCC, Step 7, and TIA, as well as safety-related automation technology (HIMA). Key daily activities involve managing industrial communication networks (Ethernet, Profibus, Profinet, Modbus) within the OT environment, executing planned and unplanned maintenance, software updates, and managing OT cybersecurity according to standards like IEC 62443. The position also requires providing first-line support for hardware/software issues, participating actively in commissioning projects, and coordinating external service providers.
