Job Summary
This role involves joining a critical military-sector project, focusing on the architectural design and implementation of complex IT and data transmission systems. The Solution Architect will be responsible for developing comprehensive IT concepts, including hardware and software components, and creating configuration specifications for IT components and transmission systems. Key daily tasks include overseeing system implementation, commissioning, and participating in field tests, while working collaboratively in an agile environment with integration teams. Candidates require a background in computer science or electrical engineering, coupled with specific expertise in network planning, cellular and deployable networks, and satellite communication. Experience with integration of data transmission systems and knowledge of Software-Defined Networking (SDN) are essential for success in this challenging and specialized position.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Information Technology, Information/Communication Technology, or comparable qualification
Experience
- Minimum 4 years experience with IT systems (if degree requirement is not met)
- Experience in the integration of data transmission systems and networks
- Experience in concept creation, concept implementation, and configuration support
- Experience with IT systems of the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) is desirable
